With special, hop-heavy beer creations, the Sudden Death Brewing Company has made a name for itself in Germany and beyond. The two founders, Eric Nagel and Oliver Schmökel, come from the small and tranquil town of Timmendorfer Strand on the Baltic Sea coast. Their love of ice hockey has often taken the two boys to America, where they were able to get to know the world of craft beers.
Inspired by the beer styles in America, they brought the idea home with them and soon got to work in their own cellar. Due to Sudden Death's large fan base, the capacity quickly became too small. Today, the guys from Sudden Death brew in their own brewery in Lübeck - nota bene the biggest brewery in Lübeck including a chic brewpub and in-house pizzas.
Never boring, but exciting, unusual, passionate, unexpected but always easy to drink.
