is an independent microbrewery from Copenhagen, Denmark, and is a global force in craft beers.
Mathematics and physics teacher Mikkel Borg Bjergsø started experimenting with hops, malt and yeast in his kitchen in 2003. Today, he and his team export outstanding and unique craft beers to 50 countries. Mikkeller is rightly praised as one of the most innovative and progressive breweries.
The big breakthrough in the international craft beer world began with the clear and simple idea of adding French press coffee to an Oatmeal Stout. The result was the "Beer Geek Breakfast." Voted the number one stout on the international beer forum Ratebeer.com, the beer was a rousing triumph that launched Mikkeller's international success.
