Whiplash Beer began as a side project of Alan and Alex in 2016. Both were already working in the brewing industry, renting tanks on weekends and releasing smaller productions of craft beers for fun. Professional beer lovers, they had their own creations made at other breweries on the side for fun. Things escalated, and by the end of 2017, Whiplash was a full-fledged brewery and the guys started working full-time for Whiplash. In 2019, they completed the construction of their microbrewery and built Whiplash headquarters in Ballyfermot, Dublin, complete with their own custom brewhouse that delivers small batches of great craft beers. Now they have a home, equipment and a small crew: Whiplash is the Dublin brewery at the forefront of modern Irish beer.
